British Complementary Medicine Association |
| The BCMA aims to promote professionalism and protect patients. To quote
the BCMA.
“Quality of life is now considered to be a necessity and not a luxury”. The BCMA was formed in 1992 and operates a system of self-regulation with a code of conduct, which is mandatory for member practitioners. All applicants undergo an investigation to ensure they have a satisfactory standard of education and training to become members. The BCMA works towards more integration of Complementary Medicine into the UK’s healthcare system. Thomas Edison stated, “The doctor of the future will give no
medicine, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame,
in Diet and in the cause and prevention of disease”.
