Amanda Carter is a Complementary Practitioner, BCMA registered, BTEC trained, CSS member and IPTI full member.

Amanda is based in Hertfordshire around Borehamwood and Radlett (see Contact page) and has patients in Shenley, Park Street, St.Albans, Elstree, London Colney, Hemel Hempstead, Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield, Knebworth, Bushey, Stanmore, Watford, Tring, Milton Keynes, and Bedfordshire. Amanda also serves NW London; Barnet, Kingsbury, Kenton, Harrow, Pinner, Edgware, Mill Hill, Finchley, Muswell Hill, Highgate and Crouch End.

Amanda has been working in the therapy field for a considerable number of years, so has a wealth of experience. She has a background of massage therapy and has also worked in the corporate world, so readily understands the stresses and demands that office work can place on the body.

She specialises in Sports, deep tissue and remedial massage therapy for muscular discomfort or injuries, and is a Reiki Master Teacher, Level III Usui Reiki. She also works with Cranio-Sacral therapy to Level IV, Somato-Emotional release and is experienced in Equine Cranio-Sacral therapy.  This is very similar to the treatment used on humans and it involves light touch therapy on perceived areas of restriction or pain. There is no “placebo” effect with animals, therefore the therapy can often work more effectively and with faster results.

Amanda works with the body’s natural healing system and is particularly skilled at sensing where the body is in pain or suffering restrictions. Amanda expertly works to remove that barrier to healing and full health.

The complementary therapies offered are excellent for female problems; menstrual pain to fertility issues, back problems; be it low back sciatica, shoulder pain or frozen shoulder. Neck pain, such as whiplash or lack of mobility. Tinnitus. Headaches, jaw and teeth pain, neuralgia, also orthodontistry. Equally, Fibrositis, Fibromyalgia, MS and ME; any area where vitality is poor.

Amanda’s energy healing work has helped patients’ post-operations, post-cancer, during Chemotherapy and after trauma or bereavement where anxiety, panic attacks, depression, digestive problems or IBS are apparent.
