Amanda practices as a Usui Reiki Master Teacher, Level III. Reiki is a very special form of healing dating back over 2500 years and was rediscovered in the 1870’s by Dr. Mikao Usui. Reiki translates as “Universal Life Force” which means it is in everyone and everything.

Reiki is not “sent” by the practitioner but is “drawn” by the patient.

Reiki works on the Chakras, which are the energy centres of the body and usually the main 7 are worked on from Crown Chakra (7) to Root Chakra (1) and to the feet.

Reiki is not a religion or belief system and transcends all cultures, races and backgrounds.

Amanda was trained as a Reiki Master Teacher through a series of sacred attunements. Amanda and her Reiki Master Teacher can be traced back through a direct lineage to Dr. Mikao Usui.

Reiki works to free the patient from issues that do not help them to progress in life. It boosts immunity and helps to remove stress and feels wonderful.

The patient is generally treated lying down, although seated Reiki is often carried out. The patient remains fully clothed.

Reiki Training Courses

Amanda teaches Reiki First & Second Degree courses in the Usui System of Natural Healing. Reiki First Degree is the level for treating yourself and is the start of your beautiful Reiki journey. First Degree Courses are held in Borehamwood in a very special and safe healing space and last for two days over Sunday and Monday from 10am until 5pm each day. First Degree Course price is £135.00 per person payable by cash or cheque with guarantee card. You will receive a comprehensive manual and named certificate on completion of your Reiki I course.

During the two days you will learn what Reiki is; you will learn about the Chakras and how they function; the Reiki story and how Reiki was brought to the West from Japan. You will receive a series of Four Reiki Sacred Attunement Ceremonies over the two days to initiate you into Reiki First Degree. There will be meditation time and you will be shown how to treat yourself with Reiki healing. And you will be shown how to treat others (such as your loved ones) by working with the wonderful Reiki energy on a specially invited guest for one afternoon on the course. Amanda teaches on a one to one basis or with amaximum of two persons on the course. This is to ensure individual attention and a truly special, unique course. Reiki First Degree will also enable you to top up your energy levels and immune system between your usual practitioner treatments.
